Enterprise Information Services, Inc. (EIS) as part of the Spatial Front International (SFI) Team has been awarded a $100M plus contract by the United States Census Bureau Decennial Information Technology Division (DITD) to provide comprehensive Information Technology support for the 2020 Decennial Census. This seven year contract will deliver a host of IT services, including Business and Solution Architecture, Software Development, Testing, Integration, IT Security, Configuration Management, Release Management, Disaster Recovery, and IT Operations.
As mandated by the U.S. Constitution, America gets just one chance each decade to count its population. The data collected by the decennial census determine the number of seats each state has in the U.S. House of Representatives and is also used to distribute billions in federal funds to local communities. The 2020 Census will require counting an increasingly diverse and growing population of around 330 million people in more than 140 million housing units. To get an accurate count, the Census Bureau relies on state-of-the-art information technology and big data analytics. EIS Senior Vice President and DITD Capture Manager Robert Darlington said of the award, “This extremely important win reflects EIS’ valued partnership with the Census Bureau. We have been supporting Census for the past 6 years and we are excited to assist them with 2020 Decennial Census.”
